Rescued and Honored [Day 11]

Updated: Dec 11, 2022

When we're in trouble, every minute can feel like a lifetime. We cry out, but it can feel like our cries are being scattered in the wind. But these moments are beautiful. It doesn't make sense because our world can externally be falling apart; but on the inside, our hearts are protected and safe. We have an inheritance that is secured in Heaven; untouchable by moths, vermin, or thieves:

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. Matthew 6:19

The enemy may try and steal, kill, and destroy, but the Lord God we serve has so much power and authority, that darkness cowers in fear. So the enemy may try to tear us apart in our lives, but ultimately our Lord God has the final say on everything. Our Heavenly Father will never allow us to break and not be put back together again, or fall without the ability to get back up; because He is with us and will always be faithful to rescue us. He will deliver us from our troubles and then honor us.

Let's get into the breakdown:

He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Psalms 91:15 NIV
When he calls out to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor. Psalms 91:15 CSB
When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. Psalms 91:15 NLT
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. Psalms 91:15 NKJV
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. Psalms 91:15 AMP

Even if we don't receive an answer immediately...keep going. Keep pursuing the Lord, keep praying, keep releasing your burdens at our Heavenly Father's feet, keep moving, keep waiting, keep breathing. The Lord heard our prayers and has already started His plans to rescue us; He is already on the way.

Sometimes it's a matter of testing our faithfulness through hard times. Sometimes it's a matter of a delay between Heaven and Earth due to spiritual warfare. Sometimes it's a matter of our heart posture and whether or not we truly laid everything down at His feet. Regardless of the reason, the resolution is still the same: keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking. The Lord will come through, this is a truth that the enemy wants us to deny.

No matter what kind of trouble we're in, our Lord God will never leave us right where we're at. Character building, discipline, life lessons, mistakes, all are one in the same to the Lord, He doesn't hold it against us, but rather in His perfect love, He uses it for our good. Praise God.

- Challenge -

Whenever we're at a point of frustration, make a list of all the things we're grateful for. Remember the deeds of the Lord, to soften our hearts for worship and praise. Praise and worship the Lord for who He is and the rest will come to us in time. All we need is to wait on the Lord and keep our hearts and minds focused on Him.

- Closing Prayer -

Father God, I thank You for Your unfailing love and Your faithfulness. I thank You because You are Good and a Father to all of Your children. I thank You Lord God for exchanging our ashes for beauty; for trading our anxieties and burdens for Your peace, even when there's chaos surrounding us. I thank You for turning our mistakes into testimonies. I thank You for turning our trials into perseverance. I thank You for welcoming us into Your comfort; adopting us into Your royal family, Lord God. I thank You for calling us all by Your Name. I thank You for never leaving us behind; but walking with us and guiding us throughout this life so that we are never without You.

I thank You, Lord God, for creating us each with a specific purpose; each as masterpieces, fearfully and wonderfully made according to Your will for our lives. I thank You, Lord God, for allowing us access to all the spiritual blessings, in Christ Jesus. I thank You Lord God, for Your peace that goes beyond our own understanding. I thank You, Lord, especially for Your grace and sacrifice that allows us to fellowship with You and love You and learn more about You.

I thank You my Heavenly, Father, for Your presence.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
